Ideally located between the sea and the mountains, Antibes is a popular town with tourists, combining traditions and water sports, history and heritage. Don't miss the old town, the evening markets in summer, the ramparts, the port and the sandy beach.

The town of Antibes

At the Les Pinèdes campsite, we all love the old town of Antibes. The old town is divided in two by the ramparts and mainly pedestrianised. It is teeming with little shops, workshops and restaurants. The weekly markets attract locals and tourists, especially the indoor Provençal market. In summer, visitors also enjoy the evening markets along the ramparts.

Don't hesitate to take a stroll near the port, where you can see the luxury yachts at the "billionaires' quay". You can also enjoy a walk along the ramparts with a breathtaking view over the Mediterranean.

Art lovers will love the Picasso Museum, as well as the Napoleonic Museum and the archaeological museum.

And don't miss the Fort Carré with its remarkable star shape, commissioned by Vauban.

The sea in Antibes

There are plenty of beaches to enjoy. These are the nearest sandy beaches to the Les Pinèdes campsite. Right next to the town is Gravette beach (right next to the ramparts) and Salis beach. Alongside Cap d’Antibes there are many different options if you come with your mask and snorkel, and a chance to see a whole host of fauna and flora.

Leaving from Garoupe beach on Cap d’Antibes, the coastal path is ideal for a walk beside the sea. It is accessible to all ages.

Marineland water park

This is a famous water park just 15 km from the Les Pinèdes campsite. Come and see the killer whales and dolphins at Marineland during a spectacular show.

Next to the park there is also Adventure Golf, Kids' Island, Aquasplash and Antibes Land

Night life

Antibes old town is also popular for its pubs, bars, restaurants and shops which are open until late in summer, leaving you plenty of time to enjoy the evening.

On the other side of Cap d’Antibes, Juan les Pins is ideal for an evening visit with lots of night clubs, bars and seafood restaurants.
